Field Leadership Group was founded by Brenton and Glen to help prepare the next generation of leaders with practical skills they can use on the job.
Between us, we bring more than 46 years of construction experience, with careers spanning apprenticeships and trade roles through to supervision, project management, operations management and company directorship.
Along the way, we completed a range of supervision and management courses. While these provided valuable knowledge, we often found gaps between what was taught and the day-to-day challenges of leading a team. Knowing the theory is one thing. Putting it into practice when people are relying on you, deadlines are tight and plans change takes more.
We created FLG to help fill those gaps.
Our courses draw on real site experience to help emerging leaders communicate clearly, plan ahead, support their teams and handle difficult conversations. We want learners to finish with more than knowledge. We want them to leave with practical tools they can apply in their next shift and build on throughout their careers.
Experience and credentials
Our combined credentials include five trade qualifications, a supervisor licence, a project management qualification, S1, S2 and S3 accreditation, and two Certificate IV qualifications in Building and Construction.
We have seen the difference strong leadership makes, and what happens when people step into leadership roles without enough guidance or support. Through FLG, we are passing on what we have learnt to help tomorrow’s leaders build stronger teams and deliver better results.
